Another weekend Don't really have anything planned, working today all day.. at both of my jobs from 8am to 10:30 p.m., I get to go home in between for about 3 hours or so. Working Saturday all day from 11:30 to 8:30, this job is starting get on my nerve, I definitely will not be working my Part-time job once my classes began. Working two jobs is already enough as is, and I can't take on school, so I would have to quit my PT job. (Note to self: Never again take a part-time job, unless in desperate need for money..Etc) Sunday is my day off, I have no idea as to what I'm doing; though I can say I would like to sleep in late, take care of something's that I need to. Also I would like to take a trip to the shore, but not sure when that's going to happen. Lunch For lunch I decided to get small snack since I will be leaving work early, we have something called "summer hours" where we would work extra time during the week (i.e. take 1/2 hr lunches, etc) and that extra time u can deduct from Friday's time.. and leave early as much as time we have saved up. So back to what I was saying, I decided to get something to eat, so I didn’t' see anything good, until I got to the dessert area. I got myself a "Jack and Jill" ice cream bar, with vanilla and chocolate center, and a fruitcake (ya, I know it sounds fruity), but it was good. Yellow cake, with cream in the middle, whipcream, with Strawberries, blueberries, redberries, and something else I forget. Hmmm it was so good, well the point is.. I'm having a great sugar rush.. -=oD…

Random Junk Lately i've been sleeping in late.. i wake up late everyday for work.. maybe its the heat? Tiring my body and not gettin enough sleep as i should. Hmm i don't know. maybe its my PT job?.. oh well. I guess i'll have to sleep more.. ok this isn't going anywhere.. so i'll just link stuff.... Links -Can she press charges against this guy? Movies Minority Report - Excellent website of the new Steven Spielberg science fiction thriller. The movie is getting great reviews from just about everyone who's seen it. Not to mention the web site is hours of fun, with flash and what not. Movies seen lately: From Hell - 1888 London, about some guy killing bunch of hookers, because one of the prince got married to one of them and they witnessed the wedding, to cover up everything, they have this maniac going around killing these hookers and they show some nudity. (good movie to watch) A+ Mothman's Prophecy - Bit confusing, but most of it makes sense in the end, a lil suspense and toward the beginning it's confusing and stuff, but then it picks up the space as it comes toward the end. (if you're bored, rent this one) C+ In other news The Big Secret - Revealed for the first time - Microsoft are planning to totally remake the personal computer with new hardware and software encryption to safeguard personal security and intellectual property rights. But can Miscrosoft be trusted to get this right, and would you buy one?

RACISM Recently I have been in situation and have been noticing more and more racism towards the "look alike" of middle eastern descendant and Asian (Indian). It has increased ever since the bombing of 9/11, but I'm not getting into that. It just happens that its related/increased since then. This past weekend, I was in central Jersey where there are more "colored" people then where I live (In south Jersey). So what happened was, we were going to Target and we were driving around looking for a parking spot, and we saw a car pulling out so we signaled it; at the same time we saw another car pulling towards the same spot but we didn't see any signal or anything. So as soon as the car pulled out we pulled in. As we're walking out the car, this lady is yelling at us out of her car; and she said "you people don't belong in this country", I turned around walked up to her and cussed her out, and then she wanted to pull her club out, and all the other Bs. Then we just went into the store, and we realized what if she does some damage on the car so we went out and she was waiting as soon as she saw us she drove away. Today I was checking my e-mail, and usually I get party/promotion e-mails for parties and stuff. Well today the subject is a bit different. It read "APOLOGIES FOR LAST FRIDAY @ EUGENE" I'll post the e-mail here so it's easier to read instead of me explaining everything. This is addressed to all loyal patrons of our events and those who took the time out to RSVP, and show up in the rain for the event that was scheduled to be held at Eugene this past Friday night, June 14th, 2002. On behalf of all team members, DJs, and YIP door staff, we would like to sincerely apologize for the disaster that occurred last Friday at Eugene. In a never ending effort to continue to bring venues that our esteemed South Asian Professional following desires, after being the FIRST to hold events at world class venues (Tavern On the Green, Russian Tea Room, Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Saci, Ohm, etc.) we strove to once again go the EXTRA MILE to bring you an exclusive event at Eugene. It turns out, like many of you found out that night, we discovered THE HARD WAY, Eugene's RACIST DOOR POLICY. From the second we arrived, we were mistreated, our door staff was mistreated, and our DJs were mistreated - all because of our ethnic origin. When our people had arrived, they were informed BLATANTLY by EUGENE DOOR STAFF AND MANAGEMENT that "IF YOU ARE HERE FOR THE YIP INDIAN PARTY, GET OFF THE LINE BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT GETTING IN!" This is not consistent with the freedoms and liberties of the country we live in - the same country that many of our families have worked hard to emigrate to, in order to give us a better life. Pending a legal investigation of the situation, we are urging all South Asians and all "people of color" to boycott Eugene based on its racist beliefs, practices, and profiling. It is a known fact that South Asians have had a long-standing affinity towards this venue. Many of us have frequented it from time to time, and it's about time we stopped funneling OUR HARD EARNED MONEY to keep in business an establishment that has no appreciation or gratitude for it. We will be hosting a COMPLIMENTARY OPEN BAR EVENT WITH APPETIZERS AND A BUFFET within the next couple of weeks to make this up to all of you. Again we want to sincerely apologize for what happened, which was through no fault of ours, and do what's right to make amends. Please join us for our GRAND RETURN to the SACI NIGHTCLUB, where we have COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE DOOR, for our "Summer Luau - Part II," this Friday June 21st, the FIRST OFFICIAL DAY OF SUMMER. Your hosts, Young Indian Professionals - NY "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. "You must be the change you wish to see in the world..." - Mohandas K. Gandhi My Theory: Based on what I have learned and seen, I strongly believe that it hasn't changed much only that there are more colored people and there is more racism then when there was only black and white. Before it was Black and White, everyone knows the history/story. We now live in a country with many different ethnic, background, race, color, and religion. My friend and I were discussing this one-day, and she happens to mention that, now a day's racism is seen from a different perspective. Where as before it was only white, black and Hispanic. Today we have Middle Eastern (ME), Asian, etc. It has gotten to the point where white, black and Hispanic are the inferiority and Asian, ME, other are the minorities and we're seen as immigrants and stuff. It has taken the heat of the Black and Hispanic and moved towards the ME, Asians, and others. Since the 9/11 is has increased even more, that every "brown colored" person is looked at differently. To put it into simple words I suppose that's the human way, to see, hate, learn, and like (or in other cases hate even more)

Fertility Specialist(joke) With the help of a fertility specialist, a 65-year-old woman has a baby. All of her relatives come to meet the newest member of the family. They ask to see the baby, but the aged mother keeps saying, "Not yet." Finally, a cousin asks, "When can we see the baby?" "When it cries," says the elderly mom. "Why do we have to wait until the baby cries?" the cousin asks impatiently. "Because I forgot where I put it." [via Joie P.]

::Weird Sunset:: "It's a solar eclipse. On June 10th, just as many Americans are sitting down for dinner, the Moon will pass almost directly in front of the Sun. Unlike a total solar eclipse, this eclipse will be partial. Only a fraction of the Sun's bright surface will hide behind the Moon -- between 20% and 80% depending on where you live" [via jish]
.:: Day well spent ::. I can't complaint this weekend; it was not as bad as some of the previous weekend. Friday I was working all day, Saturday I worked most of the day, (ok so far the weekend isn't all that cracked up to be), but Sunday was a good day. Started out with, waking up early (8:30am) after getting ready and heading out, we went to Philly to the NBA Hoop it up Tournament by the 1st Union Center, where my friend Mike was participating in the Tournament. When we got there the game had recently begun, and the score was 11-4 (Mike's team had 4 pt.) as the game went out Mike's team started catching up, and next thing I know it was tied up 15-15 and it was the end of the game, so it turned out to be a draw. Finally they convinced the referee, to go into overtime. The other team did a do or die shot and missed, Mike's team got the ball and finished the game. (I have pictures, but I can't post them here, cuz I can't upload them onto the blogger, but I might post them via Angelfire.com) After that was over we hung out there participating in contests, one of the 1st contest I participated in was "Tobacco is Wacko", where the Backboard of the hoop is wack (bent & deformed) and you had to make shot in using the backboard. I missed the 1st few shots, because I had to get used to the backboard, then finally I scored 2-3 (10 pointers) and 2 (20 pointers) I think. I got a shirt that reads, "Tobacco is wacko". Then we went to another area where you would have a court with obstacle and you have to go around avoiding or going behind and trying to make the shot, where you had to make all the shots in to win something (I missed all the shots). There were other cool fun things to do, which we did, and then I had planned to pick up my parent's form the Airport (they were coming back from London). We had some time to kill, so we decided to go into the city. We drove around and finally ended up near Penn's Landing (we parked 4th St & Market). We walked and we got there, there was a ship parked there (I know that's not the right terminology); but you get the idea; and so we went in for the tour, some interesting stuff, such as there is No alcohol & sex allowed on the ship (note to self: never join the navy)(more pic). Finally we got done and headed to pick up my parents, we got there and came home. My mom got us some goodies, such as candy (best candies), keychains (Eiffel tower), souvenirs, food, Mango's from India (which you can't find here), etc. My parents went on a tour after the wedding they attended in London; they went to Paris and saw the Eiffel tower, River de Paris, Birthplace of Michangelo's painting, Arc De Triomphe, Notre Dame, and some other places I can't remember. I know most of this, because I watched the video they taped during the tour before i went to bed. The Fight In other news, Tyson got his ass kicked, I saw the whole fight, and through the preview it appeared Tyson was going claim the victory. I still went for the underdog, and placed my money (not literately) on Lennox, As the fight went on, I thought Tyson was going to make a quick/strong move on Lennox which would finish the fight, but Lennox kept Jabbing him and wearing him out, and finally in round 8 Tyson was down, bleeding from both eyes and nose. It took James Douglas 11, round to knock Tyson down, Evander Holyfield 10 round and Lennox only 8. Is Tyson's carrier heading down to retirement? After the fight had ended, I realized that the fight could have been rigged, there is no way Tyson took it the way he took those hit and did nothing in return, not that it mattered to me, I was going for Lennox. NBA Another sad loss for the New Jersey Nets, I didn't bother watching the whole game, (I was busy watching the Pair/wedding video), Though I did catch the 1st quarter, when Nets started to lose by 5, and when I came back to the game which was in 4th quarter, when Nets were actually winning by 7 points. As the 4th quarter went toward the end of the game, Nets had lost the Lead and were down by 4points in the last minute, they managed to come back to 2 points, but lost at the buzzer as Jason kidd tried to make the last 3 pointer to tie the game. That is 3-0 Lakers.

::: A Study Shows ::: Yesterday, Scientists for Health Canada suggested that men should take a look at their beer consumption, considering the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer. The theory is that drinking beer makes men turn into women. To test the finding, 100 men were fed 6 pints of beer each. It was then observed that 100% of the men gained weight, talked excessively without making sense, became overly emotional, couldn't drive, failed to think rationally, argued over nothing, and refused to apologize when wrong. No further testing is planned.

.:stress:. I've been meaning to blog, but I just don't know where to begin. There is so much going on in my life, I never thought my life would get so hectic. I mean when I was young, I said to myself, I'm not going to make my life boring, hard working, hectic, etc. Well it appears I'm heading toward that road, working 2 jobs, still trying to finish school, and being busy at all hours. I need to cut down on few things, I can't have everything I guess, or atlas make up some sort of schedule where I get my playtime and work time. Come to think of it, everything is falling into place, lets see. M-F Work 8-5 (that's going to be like my life long work schedule, so that's that) m-f evenings open, whatever the week brings. Sat I could do whatever that I have to do to take care of things, such as chores, going out, and doing stuff that needs to get done. Now Sundays, will be my Day off, Play time. Where I do what I want all day. Hmm not a bad idea. This is great, blogging is great, helps me sort things out. I guess in a way I take everything out of my head and sort it out and put it back into my head. Well so that's the end of one of my problem. What other problems, ah yes. Education, I got my certificate in Web Design Development, I get my Associate in what hopefully a year, few more classes. by the end of summer next year I should have my Associate. I'm giving this only a year. In one year I need/should/would/have/to have this goal/task completed. Oh and ofcourse my bills, I need to sort that out and make an accurate template to see where all my money's going (good money management) you have no idea where that can put you, and how bad money management can ruin you life.
