Taboo Food
So last night i saw this show called the "Taboo Food" on National Geographic, I had seen an episode of this before like last year, and it was disturbing and disgusting how they eat the rarest and the most nastiest way. Last time the one i remember was they were eating some animal's fetus, unborn baby and how it was banded in some 3rd world country and you had to be on the downlow to get it and I found that repulsive. Last night i started it 1/2 way through the show and they were again somewhere in Asia or those islands near Asia and the delicacy was snake, yea so u heard ppl say they ate snake before and what not, but u've never seen it being prepared. What they do is keep cobras in a cake (like they have lobster in supermarket) they grab on, and they beat it and anger the snake so the blood starts flowing into the snakes body so the meat is juicier and they do all this in front of a mongoose which is a snakes mortal enemy, (off subject, but if u do a search on the web, and type in snake+enemy, u get humans are the worse enemy) so this do0d like opens up a can of whoop ass on the snake and then ties it by the face while its hanging the tail is right in front of the mongoose and its biting and annoying the 1/2 beaten and almost dead snake..and then he takes a knife and rips it right in the middle, and he takes all the blood and this juice out of the kidney or something and the customer drinks it ( the customer adds, "ever since I've been drinking snake blood, I've been feeling younger and stronger, and i was loosing my hair and they've started growing back") then strips the skin down and cooks the snake meat. it was HORRID i tell u, I'm afraid of snakes, but at this point i felt so bad. Then the show went on to FuGu fish in Japan and how poisonous and deadly it is and how ppl still risk their lives and eat this delicacy.

i hate the show "Fear Factor"...they make people eat kidneys, eyeballs, roaches, and brians...i have no idea why people are so interested in watching other people eat nasty stuff...ewww
Kind of reminds me of Indiana Jones...i'm not sure which one out of the series it was...but yea they'd been eating monkey brains and snake =\...yock!
Super gross in my opinion...and as Kris mentioned the show "Fear Factor"...I mean it must not pose a health hazard to be eating such things...and like you said the guy on the National Geographic channel said it made his hair grow back...lol they're coming upon revolutions for baldness...maybe it's a good thing =I think it probably all goes back to the human life cycle...oops i meant food chain...but you catch my drift...May seem repulsive to some us because we're not prone to it...
well i actually like the "Fear Factor" show, i dun0 why but i like watching them eat nasty things.
Ya its true, they did keep saying that other culture food habit may seem shocking to another culture, they even mentioned about India and Hindu belief, and how in Hindu belief all animals have soul and are reincarnation and that you maybe reincarnated into one of the animal and killing one another is considered cannibalism.
I also forgot to add the one i saw last night about in Africa, how they raise a pet dog and every 4 years they perform this sacrifice where they kill the dog by bashing his head with a mallet and spreading his blood over a tree to wake the sprits before they perform this ceremony to circumcise the teens to man. That was very odd too, where the whole town ate a piece of the dog.
